Flow cells
Flow cells, also called sample cells or observation cells, are excellent tools to observe liquid samples. Such liquid samples can for instance contain cell’s, proteins or particle. The superior flatness, extreme channel smoothness and ideal optical properties of glass of our chips ensures undistorted high resolution optical imaging. The thin bottom (#1 or 1.5 coverslip thickness) makes the chips suitable for confocal microscopy.
Flow cell’s are often used in combination with fluorescent markers</p>
Whereas traditional flow cells are hermetically sealed, Micronit offers resealable flow cells. These resealable flow cells can be used when access to the inside of the microfluidic chip is required. For example, when sensing applications ask for the biochemical modification of one of the Flow cell glass surfaces prior to an experiment. These chips are also suitable for cell culturing when cell's may attach directly on the glass. When compared to a flow cell, serptine channels can be employed when a longer observation length is required.

Flow cells, also known as sample or observation cells, are perfect for observing liquid samples, such as those containing cells, proteins, or particles. These cells feature one or more channels that enable continuous flow of liquid samples.
At Micronit, we offer a diverse selection of flow cells to meet your specific needs.
