How should I connect the chips to a pump?

How to Connect the Chip to a Pump

Micronit offers a range of chip holders designed to ensure reliable and convenient interfacing between your chip and fluidic tubing. You can find our available holders here: Micronit Chip Holders.

For Top Connect Chips (most chip types)

In most cases, the Fluidic Connect Pro chip holder is the recommended solution.
If your chips are supplied in a black or gray cartridge, use the Cartridge Holder variant.

For applications requiring pressures above 5 bar, choose the Fluidic Connect 4515 holder.

Important: Remember to include a connection kit with your order. The kit contains elastomer ferrules that are pressed against the glass by the holder, ensuring a tight seal between the tubing and the chip.

For Side Connect Chips (e.g., some droplet generator chips)

Use the Side Connect holder.
Again, don’t forget to order a connection kit—it contains elastomer ferrules that provide a reliable seal between the tube and the chip.

For Sheet Nozzles

For sheet nozzle chips, a third-party interfacing solution is available. More information can be found here.
