Capillary Electrophoresis Chips
Capillary electrophoresis (CE) is a separation technique that is successfully used in the analysis of DNA fragments and other biomolecules. In capillary electrophoresis, small amounts of fluids are injected into a separation channel. Substances are separated based on their electrophoretic mobility, which is proportional to their charge/size ratio.
Capillary electrophoresis with microfluidic chips offers advantages over traditional CE.
The integrated injection structure enables the injection of much smaller volumes than would be possible in standard CE. This means the separation channels can be very short (a few centimeters) for certain applications, resulting in much faster analysis. Furthermore, also a detection module could be integrated into the chip.

Capillary electrophoresis (CE) chips are microfluidic devices that bring the separation technique of capillary electrophoresis onto a compact chip platform. These chips feature microfabricated channels and reservoirs for the precise injection, separation, and detection of small sample amounts, including DNA fragments, proteins, and other biomolecules. At Micronit, we offer a variety of CE chips to meet your specific needs.
