What droplet generator should I choose?

Recommended droplet generator type

The default recommended option is a focused flow droplet generator. T-shaped droplets are only recommend when there's a good consideration behind. It's recommended to always start with a single junction chip, instead of version with multiple parallel junctions. 

Nozzle size recommendation

We recommend the following nozzle size per droplet size range:

*The reference droplet size range is based on a reference experiment with Silicone oil 5cSt and DI water combined with 2% v/v Tween 20 or Tween 80.

Surface coating

With a water-in-oil droplet type, we recommend the hydrophobic coating. With a oil-in-water droplet type, we don't recommend the use of a coating.
